Martin Gerschwitz returns to Mount Shasta to perform Iron Butterfly’s iconic rock anthem, “In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida” and other rock classics in a his second local appearance.  Doug York Productions proudly presents the touring psychedelic rock musician in concert at Lalo’s in Mt. Shasta, Tuesday, April 22 at 8:00 pm. The performance will be in celebration of Earth Day 2014, and a fundraiser for Siskiyou Land Trust.

Gerschwitz will perform familiar rock classics as well as his own original compositions. He presents an intimate concert of music as a violinist, keyboardist, singer, and loves telling true stories from his years sharing the stage with many well known beloved rock and roll legends such as Led Zepplin’s Jimmy Page and Robert Plant, as well as Eddie Van Halen, Vanilla Fudge, road touring with Eric Burdon and the New Animals, Meatloaf, Iron Butterfly and many others.

As a versatile musician, Gerschwitz stretches his repertoire to include music from many genres. “His note-perfect performance of George Gershwin’s 1924 jazz classic, “Rhapsody in Blue” was among the favorites at last year’s concert,” according to York. “We are excited to hear what he’s going to pull out of the bag on Tuesday night.”

Tickets are available at Lalo’s and the Mount Shasta Visitor’s Bureau: $10 Advance or $15 door. For more information, call 530-925-0660.
