an evening Forest Resilience Panel Presentation

We hope you will join us for an engaging panel discussion on forest resilience Thursday, April 11 @ 7pm, at the Mt. Shasta Sisson Museum!
Hear from experts in forest management and conservation as they share strategies for fire prevention and ecosystem protection. Emphasizing community involvement and sustainable practices, the discussion aims to foster awareness and action towards healthier and more resilient forests.

Panelists include:

Mike Bradley, previous CalFire Northern Region Chief
Mike has actively engaged in responding to numerous significant fire incidents across northern California over the past seven years. Presently, he imparts his expertise internationally by instructing incident command system classes, offering consultations on fire law interpretation, drafting evacuation plans, and addressing various fire-related subjects. Mike also works with Pacific Forest Trust, contributing to a pilot project focused on wildfire resilience within Siskiyou County.

Danielle Lindler, Registered Professional Forester, Pest Control Advisor, CEO & owner of Jefferson Resource Company since 2001
Danielle, a sixth-generation Californian, graduated in 1997 with a B.S in Forestry with an emphasis in Forest Production and a minor in Environmental Ethics from Humboldt State University. She is a Siskiyou County Planning Commissioner and a member of the Professional Foresters Exam Committee under the State Board of Forestry. Danielle currently chairs the CA Forest Pest Council and serves as Board Member of the Forest Vegetation Management Conference. She is a member of numerous professional forestry organizations and her career passion is in reforestation.

Carl Skinner, retired Research Geographer, U.S. Forest Service, Pacific Southwest Research (PSW) Station, Redding, CA
Carl grew up on a farm in the mountains between Redding and Burney. He has degrees from Shasta College, UC Berkeley, and California State University, Chico. From 1968 to 1977 he worked in fire suppression for USFS on the Lassen and Shasta-Trinity National Forests. He worked in fuels management from 1978 to 1988, mostly on Mount Shasta RD. Carl then transferred to PSW in Redding to do research focusing on understanding how fire, climate, and management activities interact to influence forest vegetation dynamics and fire hazard. In 2022 he received the Harold Biswell Lifetime Achievement Award from the international Association for Fire Ecology.

A suggested donation of $10 each is a fundraiser for Siskiyou Land Trust and for the Mt. Shasta Museum
