Brennan Conservation Easement Donation

How to leave a legacy….

Please join us in celebrating John and Susan Brennan. November 20, 2023 we finalized the donation of a conservation easement over their property’s riparian and meadow habitat in the Shasta River headwaters, keeping this special place intact forever! John and Susan have been long-time monthly donors who have been incredibly generous not only with their monthly and annual donations but also as volunteers in numerous capacities and now as conservation easement donors. John served as Board President and Treasurer of Siskiyou Land Trust for several years and was instrumental as our organization’s partnerships expanded to work with agricultural landowners in Scott Valley. We are beyond grateful for these long-time supporters who leave a lasting legacy in Siskiyou County.

LuginBuhl Ranch Acquisition

Siskiyou Land Trust is thrilled to be working in partnership with Kate LuginBuhl to conserve her ranch located in the Upper Sacramento and Shasta River headwaters! The land trust will be reaching out to our supporters next summer for field trips after acquiring this special place and will be planning a celebration on the land next Fall. Stay tuned!

Sisson Meadow Stewardship

Due to an influx of residential dumping, the Sisson Meadow is no longer receiving trash service. Please help us keep our beloved meadow clean and safe by packing out all trash & doggie waste bags! Thank you for respecting the meadow and many kudos to volunteer steward, Steve and Debbie Huckabone for their quick and wonderful work to repair our damaged Sisson Meadow picnic tables!

Our land conservation & stewardship efforts are made possible by the helping hands of our volunteers. Thank you to all of you who love these lands and volunteer to keep them beautiful.
