Dear friends and supporters of Siskiyou Land Trust,

We’re all finding new ways of life and connection in these days of Covid-19 and the Land Trust is making adjustments to the ways we work and participate in community. Read all the latest in our Spring 2020 eNewsletter.

We’re also offering a series of Online Webinars to continue connecting with one another  through these shelter-in=place times.  Next in the series will be The Geology of the Klamath Mountains on June 18th.

Our staff will continue to work from home in the coming weeks, so if you want to get in touch with any of us, email will be the best way to do that (see our staff directory here). We’ll be checking voicemail at the office at least once during the week, so please be patient if you leave a message. As we continue our land conservation projects we’re working on protocols for site visits, when such work is allowed, so that our agency partners, landowners, board and staff can work safely.

In this time of social distancing our open spaces in Mt. Shasta – Sisson Meadow, the Garden Greenway and trails – remain open and available. If you do choose to visit those outdoor places, please be mindful of others. It’s fine to step off the board walk in Sisson Meadow to allow folks to pass. Please do so as thoughtfully and gently as you are able.

As we strive to make good choices for the health of all of our community members, it’s important that we stay engaged even as we remain physically separated. Follow us on Facebook and Instagram for photos of the places we conserve to bring some light into your day.

Take care of yourselves and your loved ones in these days and please reach out if you need to. This is a time for us to remember that all things are connected and the choices we make now are not for ourselves, but for our larger community.

Best to each of you,
Renee Casterline

Executive Director
