September 2025 SLT Event Updates

Pluto Cave Nature Walk
Join Siskiyou Land Trust and lifelong caver and researcher Mike Spiess, on a journey to explore Pluto Cave in the Shasta Valley!We’ll learn about the geology of the Cascade Arc, how lava tubes are formed, and the features of the Shasta Valley. We’ll enjoy the flora along the short ¼ mile hike to the cave and then venture into Pluto Cave up to complete darkness (about ¼ of a mile). Sturdy shoes, long pants, and headlamps are required.Date: Wednesday, October 8th, 2025Time: 9am-1pm

Where: Meet at SLT office and carpool/caravan ~ 35 mins. to Pluto Cave near Montague, CA
