Summer Solstice Celebration
We had so much fun with 100 of you this Summer Solstice out at Luginbuhl Ranch Preserve. We gathered on the land to bid farewell to Executive Director, Kathleen Hitt, who is stepping away from SLT after 15 trailblazing years. Thanks for coming out and welcoming summer to Northern California.

Luginbuhl Descendents Visit
This June, we welcomed a dozen members of the extended Klumpp family, whose familial roots once grew at Luginbuhl Ranch Preserve.

For the family, it was an opportunity to gather on the now conserved 320 acre property that was once the home of generations before, pouring over historical photos of the ranch and their family.

For Siskiyou Land Trust, it was an opportunity to share the natural splendor of Luginbuhl, now conserved for every generation to come, with the descendants of its past land stewards.

Interim ED Makes a Splash
Eunice Youmans will begin as Interim Executive Director on August 1st. Eunice has been spending the summer getting acquainted with the vibrant community and stunning vistas of Siskiyou County.

Here she is swimming in Lake Siskiyou and finding inspiration to conserve local land and water.

How lucky are we all to work together to protect the watersheds and ecosystems that feed our favorite swimming holes?

Summer is in full swing and that means there is plenty to do on the land. Help keep invasive species out of the places you love, promote native plant growth, and connect with local conservation-minded folks.
