Join Siskiyou Land Trust and lifelong caver and researcher Mike Spiess, on a journey to explore Pluto Cave in the Shasta Valley! We’ll learn about the geology of the Cascade Arc, how lava tubes are formed and the features of the Shasta Valley. We’ll enjoy the flora along the short ¼ mile hike to the cave and then venture into Pluto Cave up to complete darkness (about ¼ of a mile). Sturdy shoes, long pants, and headlamps are required.

Where: Meet at SLT office and carpool/caravan ~ 35 mins. to Pluto Cave near Montague, CA

Children are welcome accompanied by a parent. If you are bringing others, excellent! Please have each person fill out the online registration form.

Dogs are not allowed except for ADA service animals.
