DESCRIPTION:Giving Tuesday is December 3\, 2024! \nThe Community Foundation of the North State champions generosity in our region\, hosting the NorthStateGives.org charitable donation platform each year on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving. Since 2012\, Giving Tuesday has provided nonprofit organizations the opportunity to gain exposure and start relationships with new donors\, and for the people in these counties to come together to raise as much money as possible for participating organizations within a 14 -hour period. \nWe hope you will consider giving to Siskiyou Land Trust this Giving Tuesday. There are many ways to give and every donation makes a difference to protect the lands we love — give online at https://northstategives.org/slt\, by mail\, and in person! All are invited to join us at the SLT office 522 E Alma Street for a Giving Tuesday celebration December 3\, 2024 from 4-8pm.

Purchase a shirt between 2-3pm at the event for entry in a raffle to win 2-nights of camping at Luginbuhl Preserve! Winner will be announced before 4pm at the event. Must be present to win.\n\n\n\n\n\nEntry is free. Donate $20 to receive a Siskiyou Land Trust Kleen Kanteen cup filled with a beverage of your choice. Beer and cider will be available without a cup (or for refills) for $5. Water refill stations and sparkling water will be available at no cost.\n\n\n\n*** Cash is preferred in the event of low cell reception ***\n\n\nBring a chair or blanket\, a picnic (or cash for the taco truck)\, and join us for this family friendly event! DESCRIPTION:Please join us for an evening of night sky viewing near Weed\, CA with Barbara Paulson. Barbara is an astronomy instructor and led one of our most popular events last summer! She will orient us to the major constellations & stars visible in the autumn sky and will share numerous fun facts about the universe! Directions and details will be provided once you sign up. This event is free and kid friendly! \nPlan on bringing warm clothes\, a blanket or beach chair. You can also bring binoculars or a telescope if you have one.
