LopezPlease join the Siskiyou Land Trust in welcoming Barry Lopez for “Land Conservation in the 21st Century,” an inspiring and thought provoking presentation about nature, place, and the importance of local land conservation. The event will occur on Friday September 20, 7PM at the College of the Siskiyou’s Black Box Theater in Weed.  Tickets are $20 for individuals,    $30 for couples.

Lopez has been described as “the nation’s premier nature writer” by the San Francisco Chronicle.  His books include Arctic Dreams, River Notes, Of Wolves and Men, Desert Notes, and Crossing Open Ground. He is intimately involved with local land conservation in Oregon’s McKenzie River basin where changes in nature, place, and landscape evoke poignant reflection and meaningful action.
