Giving Tuesday 2022

Welcome to our annual end of the year fundraiser to support the good work of Siskiyou Land Trust!

This year, for Giving Tuesday and other end-of-the-year gifts, we stepped up our fundraising goals to reflect the incredible opportunities that are available right now for land conservation in Siskiyou County.

We are excited to share SLT’s goal of $75,000!

Siskiyou Land Trust is poised to become one of the largest land trusts in the State of California based on the number of acres conserved. Over the past two years SLT went from nearly 7,000 acres under conservation easements (CEs) to just over 36,000 acres under CE, protecting critical landscapes from fragmentation. And with that success comes ever expanding possibilities.  Land owners are coming to us with ranches and forestry land they want to protect.  Agencies are contacting us with funding sources.  And we’re ready to take on the challenges!

Think global – act local!

The donations we raise through Giving Tuesday and the work we can do because of your support will stay in Siskiyou County. Our conservation projects protect family farms and ranches, sustainable working forests, wildlife habitat and wild places in perpetuity.

We’ve pledged to do our part in the “30×30” international movement of conserving 30% of land and marine habitat by 2030. This goal is aligned with Siskiyou Land Trust’s long term conservation vision of connecting landscapes of open space and wild land corridors to leverage our impact. We intend to contribute to the 30×30 effort in a big way by permanently conserving 100,000 acres in Siskiyou County by 2030.
