October 6 CANCELED – Community Party to Celebrate the Garden Greenway

Alas – this Oct. 6th event is CANCELED.  Wind-chill added to later afternoon temps makes it just too cold for an outdoor party in Mt. Shasta tonight.

The Siskiyou Land Trust invites the public to a free community gathering on Saturday, Oct 6th from 4-7PM at the SLT office, 522 Alma Street in Mt. Shasta, across from the Library and Sisson School.

We’re celebrating our community and offering thanks for the property we call the Garden Greenway. Your tremendous support five years ago raised the funds needed to secure this 2.89 acre parcel. Come see what’s been developed as community green space with natural pathways and trails, an outdoor educational space, and a shared garden for organic, locally grown food.  And help us plan for the future.  Creative public input is welcomed.

Blue Relish, one of Mt. Shasta’s favorite bands, will be on hand to provide live music!  A booth will be available selling beer, wine and soft drinks (bring your ID to buy or drink alcoholic beverages – everyone will be carded).  Food vendor trucks will also be invited, so there should be plenty of yummy possibilities for purchasing food and supporting our local vendors!
